This is That Recovery Mission is a purpose-driven outreach dedicated to feeding our unhomed neighbors—not only with food and essential supplies, but with HOPE through recovery in Jesus Christ.
An estimated 68% of the unhomed population struggles with addiction, whether to drugs (26%) or alcohol (38%). Our mission is to help reduce those numbers by sharing the love of Jesus Christ and reminding each individual that through Him, they can overcome and walk boldly in their God-given purpose.
Every Saturday at 11 a.m., our Evangelism Team hits the streets of Bloomington, meeting first at Kroger on S. College Avenue (Seminary Square). From there, we distribute snack bags, clothing, hygiene kits, and other survival necessities. We then head to Switchyard Park, where we serve a hot, home-cooked meal and host a Christ-centered recovery meeting—a space where we speak life, hope, and healing over those battling addiction and homelessness.
Our mission is simple but powerful:
To make every person feel loved, seen, and heard.
To share the life-changing hope and freedom found only in Jesus Christ.
Your donation helps us provide:
Food and hot meals
Clothing and hygiene products
Survival necessities (tents, blankets, sleeping bags, etc.)
Bibles and spiritual resources
Together, we can restore hope, rebuild lives, and point people to a future filled with purpose.
